Crestone appoints Sheila McGregor to board

Crestone Wealth Management (Crestone) has announced the appointment of Sheila McGregor to its board, effective November 2017.

According to a statement from the firm, McGregor is "widely recognised as one of Australia's leading information technology (IT) legal practitioners" and currently serves as a senior partner and board member at law firm Gilbert & Tobin.

In addition to her legal and IT experience, McGregor has experience in business strategy and governance gained through board roles across listed, unlisted, and not-for-profit organisations.

Concurrently, and in line with Crestone's objective to secure a board comprising a majority of non-executives, chief operating officer, Michelle Inns, will retire from the board to focus on her management role.

Additionally, Leigh Clifford has been appointed as chair, succeeding John McDonald who remains as a non-executive director.

Commenting on the changes, Crestone's CEO, Mike Chisholm, said: "These changes complete the build out of Crestone's Board and position us strongly for the future, with a strong Board and management to steer the growth of the firm."
