Credit Suisse Australia CEO to depart

Credit Suisse has announced that chief executive officer for Australia, John Knox, will be stepping down in 2019 after more than two decades' service to the bank.

Knox, who was appointed CEO for Australia in 2015, will work with his successor Richard Gibb on a "smooth leadership transition", Helman Sitohang, CEO of Credit Suisse, Asia-Pacific, said.

Sitohand added: "I would like to thank John for his various contributions to Credit Suisse over the last 24 years. He leaves with our best wishes for the future."
