CPA Australia names new president and chair

CPA Australia has elected a new president and chair.

Merran Kelsall, formerly deputy president and director, has been named the organisations new president.

She succeeds Peter Wilson, who has held the position since 2017.

Kelsall also joined the CPA Australia board as a director in 2017. She also currently holds board positions with CareSuper, RACV, and the Australian Red Cross. She was a director with VicSuper, Superpartners, and the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.

She is also a professor of practice in the School of Accounting at the UNSW Business School.

Before beginning her career as a director, Kelsall was a partner with BDO.
