Commonwealth Bank Group Super names new CEO

CBA has announced the appointment of Scott Durbin as chief executive officer of Commonwealth Bank Group Super, effective 6 August 2019.

Durbin will join from CBA's NewCo where he is currently general manager, strategy.

Of his experience, CBA said: [Durbin] has deep specialist knowledge and experience in superannuation, investments and development of member services having also held a range of roles within Wealth Management and Colonial First State including general manager strategy and retirement, and general manager marketing and distribution."

Durbin previously served as a director of Commonwealth Bank Group Super and as a member of the fund's risk and audit, member services, and nominations committees.

He succeeds Doug Carmichael, who announced in March 2019 that he would be retiring from the fund after nine years as CEO.
