Colonial First State names new Head of Distribution

Colonial First State (CFS) has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Peter Chun as general manager of distribution, effective immediately.

Chun succeeds outgoing head of distribution, Matthew Harrison, who is leaving the firm after eight years to take on the role of managing director at Franklin Templeton Investments Australia, effective January 2018. Harrison will work with Chun until November to ensure a smooth transition.

Chun first joined CFS in 2002 and has spent the last six years as the firm's general manager of products and investments. He is also the deputy to CFS executive general manager, Linda Elkins - a role he will continue as he takes on his new responsibilities.

A spokesperson for CFS said: "Peter's vast experience and deep understanding of CFS's adviser community will ensure [the firm] continues to evolve as Australia's leading platform provider. Peter was appointed to the CFS leadership team in 2010 and has been instrumental in ensuring CFS remains at the forefront of innovation, and delivering the best products and service for our customers."
