Colonial First State appoints risk chief

Colonial First State has appointed former MLC Wealth chief operating officer Anthony Lane to a key role in the organisation.

Lane has become Colonial First State's chief risk officer.

Lane spent just over two years with MLC Wealth and was involved in its separation from NAB. He previously held senior product roles with Westpac and BT and was global COO at Mercer. He started his career in the legal space, spending several years as a corporate lawyer with Minter Ellison.

This appointment is one of several for Colonial First State in recent months, including CEO Kelly Power, as the organisation plans to transition the business into a stand-alone organisation.
