Club Plus Super COO to "follow his heart"

Club Plus Super chief operating officer Phil Grindley has announced his decision to leave the fund and relocate to Mozambique to work at a children's centre.

Grindley joined Club Plus Super at the end of 2008, initially as the audit risk and compliance manager before becoming the chief operating officer in February 2014.

Grindley said via a post on LinkedIn, "What an absolute joy it is for me to share with you that after 7 of the most enjoyable years, working for an incredible superannuation fund, Club Plus Super, I have the privilege with my wife and two children to follow our hearts to go and serve at the Zimpeto Children's Centre in Maputo, Mozambique from November 2015."

A spokesperson for the fund confirmed that the role of COO will now be looked after by Club Plus Super's new head of legal, audit, risk and compliance, Lindy Hunt.
