Chris Champion joins Regal Partners investment committee

Former managing director and head of the financing group for Goldman Sachs Australia, Chris Champion, has joined Regal Partners as an independent investment committee member for its private credit strategy.

Regal said his appointment followed a period of accelerated growth into the private credit sector for Regal, following the launch of its first private credit strategy last year.

"Chris brings an extensive amount of senior experience across capital raising, structuring, valuation and governance and will be an invaluable resource to the Regal team. We're very much looking forward to leveraging his insights and knowledge base, developed over 25 years within the investment banking industry," Regal chief executive officer and managing director, Brendan O'Connor, said.

"We believe there is a substantial growth opportunity within Australian and New Zealand private credit and we look forward to being a major participant in these markets as they continue to evolve."
