NEW SOUTH WALES TREASURY CORPORATION
Date: December 2016
Position: Chief Risk Officer

NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp), the financial and investment management provider for the NSW Government, has announced a suite of new leadership appointments, including Kevin Masling who joined as the chief risk officer, effective 8 December 2016.

Masling has more than 20 years' experience in risk management within financial markets and investment management. He has joined TCorp from Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ and previously held senior positions with Lloyds International, AMP Capital Investors, ING, NAB, CBA and JP Morgan.

Joining Masling in the new leadership team is Stewart Brentnall, as chief investment officer; Paul Verschuer as GM financial markets; Katharine Seymour, as GM client relationships; and Katy McDonald as GM HR and internal communications.

Commenting on the appointments, TCorp CEO, David Deverall, said that as TCorp assumed significant scale as an asset manager, it was important it had the leadership and executive capabilities to match.

"These appointments bolster TCorp's organisational capabilities in key areas of our operations, both capital markets-facing and internally. Each of the appointments brings highly relevant experience gained at the coalface of capital markets and financial services, in Australia and in some cases internationally. We look forward to their contribution as we position TCorp for growth."
