UBS Investment Bank has announced the departure of Scott Haslem, chief economist, Australia, effective August 2017.
Haslem joined the bank in 1998 and leaves to pursue opportunities outside sell-side research.
He is to be replaced by senior economist, George Tharenou, who has been with the bank for 11 years.
Commenting on Haslem's departure, a spokesperson said: "Scott has made an invaluable contribution to the business and has led a consistently top-rated Australian Economics team over the past 10 years. We would like to thank Scott for his long-term dedication and commitment to UBS, and his direct contribution to our market-leading Australian franchise. Scott's thought leadership and professionalism will be missed."
