Position: Workplace Strategy Manager

To adapt to the needs of the modern workplace, Charter Hall has hired Tica Hessing as its new workplace strategy manager.

Hessing describes herself as a human geographer and has held workplace strategy and research roles with Cushman & Wakefield for the last six years, engaging with the organisation's 50,000 global employees on workplace strategy needs for global corporate clients. Outside of work, Hessing has authored papers and been featured in thought leadership pieces about how technology is enabling the future of work.

Charter Hall Office CEO Carmel Hourigan said that Hessing's background in social sciences and corporate real estate position her to find new ways be innovative in the workplace. "In the current operating environment, creating resilient workplaces that can respond to evolving operational, human and technology challenges is a priority for Charter Hall. Tica is a respected industry thought leader in this field, shaping future-ready and strategic workplace environments for a number of Australia's leading organisations."

In her new role, Hessing will identify and forecast global workplace trends, focusing specifically on human-centred design and technology.

Hessing said she's enjoyed her time with Cushman & Wakefield and looks forward to joining Charter Hall. "This is a unique opportunity to leverage my own experience and insights around the future of work across Australia's largest office portfolio.

"Most recently, in response to COVID-19, my work has focussed on supporting organisations with their Return to Office transition programs, including consulting on new ways of working and redefining future workplace needs. I'm particularly excited to bring this to Charter Hall's tenant customers - helping to create exceptional workplaces for their organisations and people." Hessing will commence in her new role in mid-July.
