Challenger Investment Management has promoted two senior investment staffers and a relationship manager.

Michael Lee has been appointed portfolio manager after less than two years of working as a senior analyst in the firm's acquisition finance business.

There, Lee was responsible for supporting senior team members in structuring, executing and monitoring debt investments.

He has over four years of experience in private credit and leveraged finance.

Before joining Challenger IM in August 2022, Lee worked at Barings in the APAC private credit team across the entire capital structure - senior secured and mezzanine/subordinated debt.

Previously, he held an analyst role at Westpac Institutional Bank's leveraged finance team, mainly on recapitalisation/event-driven and acquisition financing deals.

Meantime, Sarah Dixon has been promoted to associate portfolio manager.

Over the past two years, Dixon has served as an analyst, primarily focusing on measuring Challenger's liquidity risk.

She joined the firm six years ago.

Finally, Jaryd Bryce-Borthwick is now a senior manager of institutional client solutions.

Borthwick has been with the company for four years following stints with ANZ and National Australia Bank.
