CFO designate resigns from AMP

AMP has announced that chief financial officer designate John Patrick (JP) Moorhead has resigned from the group to "pursue other opportunities."

Moorehead was due to take over the role from Gordon Lefevre on 1 October 2019, which was four months after his original start date of 1 June.

James Georgeson, currently AMP deputy CFO, has been appointed as acting CFO and will immediately commence handover with Lefevre, the firm said.

AMP first announced Moorhead's appointment in May 2019. At the time he was the CFO and chief operating officer of AMP Capital, having joined the firm in April 2018.
