Centuria Life, Centuria Capital's investment bond division, has announced the appointment of Evelyn Horton to its board, effective 1 December 2017.

She has over 30 years' experience in senior executive positions including 12 years as an economic adviser in the Commonwealth Treasury and eight years at Macquarie Group in senior roles across regulatory affairs, operational risk and credit.

Horton will also act as a Centuria representative to the board of the Over Fifty Guardian Friendly Society.

Commenting on her appointment, Centuria Capital's chair, Garry Charny, said: "From an outstanding list of candidates, Evelyn was a standout for us...she brings significant experience in risk management, finance and public policy to Centuria Life Limited. She replaces Roger Dobson who departed from the board on 1 December following 10 years of service. Dobson will remain on the board for Centuria Property Funds Limited.
