Centrepoint parts ways with members of executive team

Centrepoint Alliance has parted ways with two interim members of their executive team, including chief technology and marketing officer Richard Lea.

Lea joined the organisation in 2019 after more than 12 years with Perpetual, including as GM for business management and delivery.

Interim chief financial officer Peter Loosmore also departed this week.

Centrepoint CEO Angus Benbow said in a statement to the ASX, "I am very grateful for the support that both Mr Loosmore and Mr Lea have provided me over their tenure with Centrepoint Alliance. The Board and I take this opportunity to wish them both every success for their futures."

Benbow said that the company's executive team is well-resourced to "continue leading the Company on its strategy of being the leading provider of services to financial advisers in Australia."

All Centrepoint staff started working remotely in late March in response to COVID-19. The board and executives have taken a 20% pay cut to help manage expenses. Despite the measures, the company says they're in a strong financial position with more than $8.4 million in cash and no debt.
