CareSuper names new Chair

CareSuper has announced the appointment of employer director Terry Wetherall as chair of the $14 billion fund, effective 1 April 2018.

He replaces outgoing chair, Cate Wood, who has completed her four-year term.

Wetherall, who joined the board in 2015 as an employer representative, was appointed as deputy chair in January 2017. He also sits on the fund's governance and remuneration, development and product, and investment committees.

Wetherall's experience spans both local government and private business, with roles in the meat, steel and property industries. He is currently a director on the boards of the New South Wales Business Chamber (NSWBC) and TCW consulting. He is the former president of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and of the NSWBC.

He has been replaced as deputy chair by member director Julie Bignell.
