BT Financial Group (BTFG) has announced the resignation of John Shuttleworth, as general manager - platforms and investments, after 14 years with the firm.

Shuttleworth joined BTFG in 2004 as general manager of group marketing and has since held various roles with the firm, notably as GM superannuation and investment solutions and GM platforms, marketing and communication, business transformation. He was appointed to his most recent role in 2015.

He will be replaced by Kathy Vincent, who will join BTFG on 25 July from NAB, where she is currently general manager, wealth products and platforms.

Shuttleworth has more than 25 years' management experience with a focus on products, marketing and sales. Prior to joining BTFG, he co-founded an internet technology company called XT3 Internet Integrator, which was then sold to a NASDAQ listed company. He also previously worked for Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser and The Smith Snackfood Company.

Commenting on his departure from BTFG, CEO, Brad Cooper, said: "John has made an enormous contribution at BT including leading the team that launched BT Super for Life [and managing] the Platforms business for the majority of the time since 2008 when we acquired Asgard, overseeing the growth in our funds under administration from $65 billion to $116 billion today. "

Cooper added: "We thank John for his significant contribution to BT and wish him every success for his next endeavours."

Shuttleworth will stay with the firm for the next few months to ensure a smooth transition.
