Bob Sahota to launch boutique

Bob Sahota has confirmed to Industry Moves that he will launch a boutique investment firm, in partnership with multi-affiliate house Channel Capital, called Revolution Asset Management, effective February 2018.

Sahota, founder and chief investment officer of the new firm, has a $500 million target for his first fund.

Sahota has 24-years' experience in private debt. Previously, he spent nearly 12 years as the head of fixed income at Challenger, a role that he left in November 2016. He has also worked at Kapstream Capital, PIMCO and AMP Investors.

Commenting on his new venture, Sahota said: "I am delighted to be launching Revolution Asset Management which has the mission of revolutionising the way superannuation funds and high net worth individuals think about their fixed income allocation. Revolution will provide investors with unique access to the Australian private debt market which will deliver a higher risk adjusted return for investors and, at the same time, provide corporates, sponsors and specialty finance with much needed debt capital alongside traditional banks."

Revolution Asset Management is expected to be live to investors in February 2018 and will cater to both the institutional and high net worth markets.
