Former Head of iShares Australia relocates to Hong Kong for newly-created role

BlackRock Australia has announced that former head of iShares Australia, Jon Howie, has relocated to the firm's Hong Kong office to take up the newly-created role as head of index strategy, Asia-Pacific.
Howie joined BlackRock Australia in July 2011 and was appointed head of BlackRock's Australian ETF business in November 2014.
Christian Obrist, who has worked in the firm's Hong Kong office since 2014 leading private banking and asset manager distribution for Asia ex-Japan, succeeds Howie as head of iShares Australia.
