Berkley graduate joins Montgomery Global

Montgomery Investment Management, a Sydney-based specialist boutique equity manager, has announced the appointment of Lachlan Mackay as a research analyst for the firm's global business.

Mackay s joins Montgomery Global after 12 months of consulting to the firm while completing his degree in applied mathematics and computer science at the University of California, Berkley.

Mackay is one of four new Montgomery Global appointees, including head of global business development, Craig Morton, and head of institutional sales, Matthew Briggs - who will both be based in the firm's Sydney office - and senior research analyst, Amit Nath - who will be based in the firm's newly-opened New York office.

Their appointments bring the Montgomery Global team to nine, five in Sydney and four in New York.

In addition, Joseph Kim has joined the Montgomery domestic team as a senior research analyst.
