Bennelong adds to institutional sales team

Bennelong Funds Management has announced the appointment of Matthew Briggs to its institutional team as director of institutional sales, effective 6 March 2017.

Briggs joins Bennelong from Citigroup where he spent 11 years in various roles, most recently in Prime Finance.

Commenting on his appointment, Bennelong head of distribution, Andrew Aitken, said: "Matthew joining the institutional sales team will allow Bennelong to greater prioritise growth in the institutional market in the medium term."

Briggs succeeds Ryan Durance who has been appointed to Bennelong's recently launched UK distribution arm, BennBridge, as the firm's head of business development.

Aitken added: "It's such an exciting time at Bennelong as we look to extend the local success story offshore, with the opening of BennBridge in the UK."
