Bennelong appoints account director

Bennelong Funds Management has appointed Mai Platts as account director for New South Wales and ACT as the company continues to build its investment distribution team.

Platts will work alongside account director David Whitby and report to Bennelong's head of distribution, Jonas Daly.

The recruit has 16 years of funds management experience, spanning key accounts, dealer groups, and adviser relationship management.

Before joining Bennelong, Platts worked at BetaShares for nine years as director of key accounts and adviser business

In this role, she was responsible for supporting the business's distribution activities and working with key accounts and intermediary channels.

Previously Platts was an associate at iShares and a relationship consultant at Macquarie Group.

Daly said Platts' in-depth industry knowledge and experience in managing key accounts and adviser relationships made her a great addition to Bennelong's team.

"Mai joins the business at a key time in our development and will help drive business opportunities across our key markets," he said.
