Melbourne-based global equity boutique, Bell Asset Management, has announced the appointment of global equity analyst, Xia Wu.
Wu joins from Ellerston Capital where she served as a research analyst covering Asia ex-Japan equities. Before this, she worked at Contango Asset Management as an associate analyst covering Australian equities, at NAB as a performance analyst, at KMPG as a tax consultant, and at China Citic Bank in Beijing as an international trade analyst.
Commenting on her appointment, Bell Asset Management chief investment officer, Ned Bell, said: "[I am] impressed by Xia's forensic approach to company research and passion for global markets."
He added: "As global share market volatility continues, we are experiencing strong demand for our strategies which have long track records and exhibit resilience across all market cycles. In a rising interest rate environment, investors are looking for strategies that will thrive in these conditions. Xia's hire will serve to enhance and extend our existing capabilities."
