Barrenjoey names Valentine as head of comms, launches website

Barrenjoey, the new investment banking house, has named Jill Valentine as founding principal and head of communication.

Valentine joins from Deutsche Bank where she spent the last six years as head of comms for the Australian operations. She previously spent time in marketing and communication roles at CBA and RBS.

In her new role, Valentine will be responsible for all communication with internal and external stakeholders across multiple platforms while building the organisation's brand. Barrenjoey's corporate finance business went live in October of last year and its markets business is expected to launch in the next few months.

Valentine also told Industry Moves that she'll be launching a corporate social responsibility program that is focused on indigenous partnerships and employee philanthropy.

She started with the organisation in late March.
