Bank of America has revamped its leadership team and confirmed several promotions.

In a staff memo, local investment banking heavyweights Joe Fayyad and Dan Janes announced five key changes to the investment banking team to reflect the continued growth of the Australian business.

Firstly, James Love will be rejoining the Australia team as co-head of mergers and acquisitions. He will relocate from Singapore, where he is currently head of South East Asia mergers and acquisitions.

He joined Bank of America in Australia in 2010 from Greenhill Caliburn.

Love with run the mergers and acquisitions team with Chris Gronow, who is will remain head of technology media and telecommunications.

"Together, they will drive our M&A execution efforts in Australia and be a valuable source of execution excellence in this important, and growing part of our business, with a particular focus on public markets M&A," Fayyad and Janes said in the memo.

Meanwhile, Kate Stone will continue as head of consumer, retail, and healthcare but will also oversee corporate finance.

Jonathan Denby, a director who heads up financial sponsors coverage, will take on additional responsibility as head of the investment banking operation in Melbourne.

Lastly, Terence Yong has been promoted to head of the general industrials group.
