AvSuper has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Stuart Brades as a member representative director of the $2.5 billion fund, effective March 2019.
Brades, who was nominated by the ACTU, is an air traffic controller in the Perth Tower and is vice president finance for the Civil Air Operations Officers Association of Australia.
In welcoming him to the fund, AvSuper chair Ben Firkins said: "Stuart's industry experience as an air traffic controller and his financial knowledge will be valuable assets to our Board, and thus to the Fund, and we are pleased to have him on board."
Joining Brades on the AvSuper board is fellow new-appointee Stephen Merlicek.
