AustralianSuper New York region head announced

Susan Alexander will head to New York and become AustralianSuper's US region head.

The fund announced the opening of offices in New York and London earlier this year.

Per comments from her LinkedIn, Alexander will be focused on supporting the fund's investment activities in the US. "To enable these activities we will be promoting the credentials of AustralianSuper as a desirable global investment partner. It will also allow us to form new partnerships and build on valuable existing relationships all with the purpose of providing better retirement outcomes for our members."

AustralianSuper has not returned comments on Alexander's appointment.

"AustralianSuper has seen the income earned for members from overseas grow strongly in the past five years as a result of strong returns across the portfolio as the amount of member's retirement savings invested globally doubled from $36 billion to $76 billion," chief investment officer Mark Delaney said previously of the opening of international offices.
