Frontier Advisers has lost one of its consultants who left to take up a role with the country's largest superannuation fund.

Madeline Chelper has joined AustralianSuper as an associate portfolio manager covering construction and external managers in the fixed income, currencies, and commodities space.

At Frontier, she worked as a senior consultant and was a member of Frontier's debt and currency team, looking after clients within the superannuation sector.

Landing at the asset consultant in 2016, she then moved across to UK-based global investment research alliance partner Lane Clark & Peacock. GIRA is an information-sharing arrangement between independent investment advisory firms.

Frontier and US-based Segal Marco Advisors were the foundation members in 2013, with UK-based firm, LC, joining one year later.

Chelper spent almost three years with the firm, advising UK-based defined contribution pension schemes and performing investment and manager research before returning to Frontier in October 2021.

Before Frontier, she was a financial analyst at Franklin Templeton's hedge fund K2 Asset Management, after starting out at KPMG Melbourne as an auditor.

The asset consultant s widely-regarded as a breeding ground for top-notch investment professionals.

Spirit Super investment chief Philip Naylor and Telstra Super sustainability manager Priya Patel both departed Frontier this year.

Meantime, the asset consultant recruited more than ten employees for the year to date.
