AUSIEX hires risk head from BT

The Australian Investment Exchange Limited, better known as AUSIEX, has appointed ex-BT risk head Paul Williams as its head of risk and compliance.

AUSIEX is the rebranded identity of CommSec Adviser Services.

Williams brings significant risk strategy experience to his new role, having previously been the head of risk governance for platforms, investments, and operations with BT. He spent more than 16 years with UBS and held a variety of roles including APAC head of risk operations and chief of staff for the COO.

AUSIEX CEO Eric Blewitt said Williams' appointment supports the growth of the business by fostering a strong risk and compliance culture. "As an established wholesale broker in the Australian market, having a robust risk approach is key for AUSIEX. We are delighted to have someone of Paul's calibre join us to lead our strong Risk and Compliance team," said Blewitt.
