Ausbil appoints Portfolio Manager from Australian Ethical

Ausbil Investment Management has confirmed the appointment of Mason Willoughby-Thomas as a portfolio manager for the Ausbil MicroCap fund, effective 31 July 2017.

Willoughby-Thomas will join from Australian Ethical, where he is currently a portfolio manager. He has held this role since August 2014 and is set to depart on 30 June 2017.

He joined Australian Ethical as an equity analyst in 2012 and prior to that he was a senior equity analyst at ING Investment Management.

Ausbil Investment Management has also announced the appointment of equity analysts Jan van der Schalk, who joins from CLSA Australia, and Arden Jennings, who joins from Hunter Hall. Both Jennings and van der Schalk will commence in July 2017.

A spokesperson for Australian Ethical has confirmed that the recruitment process to find Willoughby-Thomas' successor is underway.
