Ausbil appoints CEO internally

Ausbil Investment Management has announced a repositioning of its senior leadership team which includes Ross Youngman's promotion to the role of chief executive officer, effective 13 February 2017.

Youngman was formerly the firm's head of institutional business, a role he was appointed to in April 2015. Prior to joining Ausbil, Youngman was the CEO and executive chair of Five Oceans Asset Management, CEO of Deutsche Asset Management in Sydney, and head of Deutsche's US Mutual Fund Business. He was also previously the head of BT Funds Management, New York.

He takes over from former CEO, and Ausbil founder, Paul Xiradis, who has stepped into the role of executive chair. Xiradis will also remain in the roles of chief investment officer and head of equities.

Commenting on the changes, Xiradis said: "I'm excited about the future of Ausbil and the improvements we have made within the leadership team, but most importantly the successful management of our client's funds remains sacrosanct. This repositioning is all about intensifying our pursuit of credible, long term outperformance."
