DEPARTURE
ASX LIMITED
Date: August 2016
Position: Non-executive Director

The ASX has announced the appointment of Dominic Stevens as its new CEO and managing director. His appointment follows the departure of former CEO Elmer Funke Kupper who resigned from the position in March 2016.

Stevens joined the ASX in December 2013 as an independent non-executive director. Since then he has served on the audit and risk committee, and on a number of ASX's clearing and settlement boards.

ASX chair Rick Holliday-Smith, who acted in the role of executive chair while the search for a new CEO was underway, said that Stevens' "long involvement in the financial market... means that the ASX board is delighted and confident in making this appointment."

"He is popular and highly-regarded by ASX's Board, staff and major stakeholders. Dom is ideally qualified to lead the company and build on ASX's achievements."
