Antares hires Wilson as fixed income portfolio manager

Gillian Wilson has joined Antares Capital as portfolio manager for Antares Fixed Income.

Since 2008, Wilson has been covering fixed income with Dimensional Fund Advisors and was responsible for more than $8 billion funds under management. She also has experience in funds management with Macquarie.

A Dimensional spokesperson said of her departure, "Gill made a strong contribution in her 13 years at Dimensional and we wish her every success in her new position.

"Portfolio Manager, Timo Zauner (14 years of industry experience) has taken over Gillian's day-to-day portfolio management responsibilities. Timo has been managing and trading Dimensional's fixed interest portfolios for four years." The spokesperson said the change will result in no material impact on the management of the fund's portfolios.

Head of Antares Fixed Income Mark Kiely welcomed Wilson to the team. "She brings deep, hands-on fixed income portfolio management experience and will make a strong contribution to managing Antares Fixed Income's existing portfolios as well as building the Antares' institutional and retail client investment solutions."

Wilson will commence her new role in mid-September.
