Hostplus and Challenger have ramped up the hiring of investment analysts with other funds like Funds SA Regal and AussieSuper promoting or reshuffling staff, into analyst roles

Firstly, Balraj Sokhi has joined Hostplus' investments team as an investment analyst in the private markets and investment strategy area.

The $102 billion fund hired Sokhi from Lonsec, where he spent most of the last five years carrying out managed funds research.

In this role, he analysed managed fund products across most asset classes and sectors.

Before that, Sohki worked as a financial planner at ANZ and AMP.

Earlier, he was an investment analyst at Simba Property Group.

Meanwhile, Funds SA has promoted Max Hamra to the role of senior responsible investment analyst.

He will help the $40 billion investment manager South Australian public sector superannuation fund with its approach to responsible investment.

Hamra has been at Funds SA for just over a year, joining from BT where he spent almost four years, most recently as a sustainability analyst.

At the same time, Challenger has appointed Sid Raghuraman as an ESG analyst hired from JANA Investment Advisors where he spent five years as a senior investment analyst.

Before that, he worked at SuperRatings as a quantitative analyst and and assistant accountant for superannuation at Dixon Advisory.

"Looking forward to working alongside Charlotte O'Meara in delivering on ESG and sustainability initiatives across the Fidante affiliate managers and the Challenger business," he said on LinkedIn.

Over at Regal Funds Management Suri Surianti has moved from dealer to analyst.

Before joining Regal, she worked as an analyst at RPG Asset Management.

The country's largest super fund has also promoted two members of its investment team.

Georgia Coutts has started a new job as a senior investment analyst, in infrastructure.

Before her nearly two years with AustralianSuper, she worked at Transurban in corporate finance.
