AMP Limited names new chair

AMP Limited has appointed Debra Hazelton as its new chair following the resignation of David Murray.

AMP Capital CEO Boe Pahari has also been removed from the top job and returned to his previous role as global head of international equity following shareholder complaints.

Hazelton joined the AMP board in June of 2019. She joined the AMP Capital board in 2018. In her executive career, Hazelton was the local chief of Mizuho Bank in Australia and CBA in Japan. She's worked across Korea, Japan, and Australia.

She also holds board positions on the Treasury Corporation of Victoria and Persol Australia Holdings.
