AMP Limited appoints COO as part of leadership changes

AMP Limited has announced a series of changes to its senior leadership team, including the appointment of Craig Ryman to the expanded role of chief operating officer.

Ryman was previously the firm's group executive, technology and operations, a role he was appointed to in January 2017. Before this, he served as AMP's chief information officer and IT director, product & advice.

In his new role, Ryman will be responsible for "driving efficiency and improving AMP's capability to execute and deliver change," the firm said.

In other changes, Alex Wade, who was appointed group executive, advice in January 2019, has been promoted to chief executive, Australian Wealth Management, and will lead an expanded portfolio bringing together AMP's advice, wealth management, product and customer solutions teams. Paul Sainsbury, currently group executive, wealth solutions & customer, will remain with the group for an interim period to support Wade in ensuring a smooth transition to a single wealth division, the firm added.
