AMP Capital restructures Australian Equities business, appoints Australian Equities Head

AMP Capital has announced a restructure of its Australian equities business and the appointment of Genevieve Murray as head of Australian equities and systematic co-portfolio manager to lead the restructured team, effective 16 October 2017.

Murray joins from Macquarie Group where she has gained 21 years' experience, primarily in quantitative portfolio management/analysis and investment leadership roles. Most recently, she was head of research within Macquarie Banking & Financial Services.

As part of the restructure, a number of the current members of the Australian Equities team will leave their roles including the current head of Australian fundamental equities, Michael Price. According to AMP Capital, Price will leave the business after a period of transition with the new team to ensure a "seamless experience for clients and funds".
