AMP appoints board director

AMP Limited has announced that Andrew Harmos will join its board as a non-executive director, effective 1 June 2017. Harmos is currently on the board of AMP Life Limited and is chair of its audit committee.

Harmos is a founding director and shareholder of Harmos Horton Lusk Limited, an Auckland-based corporate legal advisory firm. He was previously chair of NZX Limited for seven years, serving as a director on its board for 13 years, and is currently a non-executive director of Scentre Group.

Commenting on the appointment, AMP Limited chair Catherine Brenner said: "We are delighted that Andrew is joining the AMP Limited Board. He has a strong understanding of our business and the financial services industry, significant expertise in governance issues and deep experience as a non-executive Director in Australia and New Zealand. We welcome the skills and knowledge that he will bring to the board."
