Association of Financial Advisers
ASSOCIATION OF FINANCIAL ADVISERS
Date: March 2017
Position: Chief Executive Officer

The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has announced the appointment of Philip Kewin as chief executive officer, effective 20 March 2017.

He succeeds outgoing CEO, Brad Fox, who has held the role since December 2012.

Previously, Kewin was general manager, life and investments at Zurich Australia. He is also a former financial adviser.

AFA national president, Marc Bineham, said he is excited by the appointment of Kewin because "he brings that rare combination of experience as both a financial adviser and as a company executive."

"Phil's position supporting advisers has been well-documented and we believe nobody is currently better placed to represent advisers and the true value of advice into the future."

Kewin added: "To represent an association that has collectively influenced, improved and changed the lives of so many Australians through sound financial advice is a great honour."
