AFA names Inspire NSW Chair

The Association of Financial Advisers' female lobby group, AFA Inspire, has confirmed the appointment of Jenny Pearse as its NSW chair, replacing former chair Sharon Hills, effective March 8, 2017.

Pearse is the managing director of Jenesis, a firm specialising in digital marketing, leadership development, training and business consultancy.

Commenting on her new role, Pearse said: "I have been working in Financial Advice in various capacities since 2003 witnessing the implementation of FSRA, working directly with Financial Advisers as General Manager of a dealer group as well as a business and marketing consultant focused on supporting and growing financial advice businesses. Having worked my way through a variety of different engagements both as a business owner, contracted employee and director; I understand first-hand the challenges that women face in mapping out their own path in financial services regardless of the role you wish to attain."

She added: "Today I feel incredibly privileged to be part of a network and community such as Inspire that is there to support and elevate women both working in advice but also opening the eyes of the average Australian female to how simple it can be to seek financial advice."
