The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) has announced the appointment of Candy Broad to its board, effective February 2017.

Broad is an independent director at First Super and joined the fund in the middle of 2015. She is a former Victorian Government Minister, currently a director of Women's Health Victoria and the chair of PrimeSafe.

Joining her on the ACSI board is AustralianSuper chief executive officer, Ian Silk.

Commenting on their appointments, ACSI CEO, Louise Davidson, said: "The depths of experience, knowledge and skills both Candy and Ian bring with them will be an asset to the Board and to ACSI itself...I look forward to working with them both in the years ahead as we help enhance the long-term, sustainable value of the retirement savings entrusted to our members."
