At this week's Women In Super (WIS) lunch in Sydney, at a packed luncheon event at Doltone House with guest speakerAudette Exel deliver an inspiring speech. They also heard the announcement of this year's WIS and AGSM @ UNSW Business School scholarship winners. We highlight the recipients below and find out a little more about what the AGSM programs offer the industry.

Scholarship recipients can choose a short course selected from the areas of Leadership and Management, Strategy, Change and Innovation, Commercial Acumen or Communication and will receive AGSM micro-credentials upon completion.

AGSM's client engagement officer, Adele Seale, tells Industry Moves a little more about the programs...

Where in the career ladder are the people who are most likely to take advantage of the AGSM courses?

There is not a set time for clients to join our programs as we have developed courses to suit every level. For example, 'The Emerging Manager' is specifically aimed for the first time manager who is a technical expert but is transferring into the managerial role. Our flagship program is our 'General Manager' program for those already in a GM role or someone who will move into the role in their succession plan. The content and strategic mindset is focused on 'working the business as opposed to working in the business'.

The short two or three day programs are suitable for clients from all stages in their career path who have highlighted specific areas for development. These programs have been developed to enhance skills in very specific areas, for example, negotiation, communication and change. AGSM customer engagement managers will contact each client upon enrolment to ensure that the program, content and suitability will result in the learning outcomes required.

What are the most popular business courses for those in C-suite roles?

Our most popular programs are the General Manager program, Shaping Strategy to Create Value and Strategy and Adaptive Leadership.

What expertise do you use to ensure the content is relevant to the corporate world?

We have access to over 270 Faculty and Adjunct Faculty of the UNSW Business school. They are subject matter experts and can provide corporate and government sector input. They all have a track record of executing large complex solutions for clients.

And the 2018 winners are...
