T. Rowe Price Global High Income Fund
T. Rowe Price has launched the T. Rowe Price Global High Income fund to Australian investors. The fund invests in a concentrated portfolio of global high-yield corporate bonds - both investment grade and below investment grade - and bank loans.
"The fund's high-conviction approach to high-yield bonds provides a more growth-oriented play within portfolios, benefiting from fundamental research and risk analysis as well as technical tailwinds, such as supportive liquidity policies of central banks and a migration of the investible universe well beyond the US," Darren Hall, head of intermediary for Australia at T. Rowe Price said.
It is actively managed and and aims to capitalise on market inefficiencies, sector positioning and idiosyncratic events. The fund focuses on high-yield corporate issuers in North America, Europe and emerging markets.
It is benchmarked against the ICE BoFA Global High Yield Index (hedged to AUD) and is suited to investors seeking potential for high income but who are also comfortable with the high risk associated with global high-yield fixed-income securities.
