FTSE All-World ex Australia Net Tax (Super) Index Series

FTSE Russell, the global index provider, has launched the FTSE All-World ex Australia Net Tax (Super) Index Series, which measure the performance of global equities on an after-tax basis for the superannuation industry.

The series consists of two standard indices, one which calculates net returns for global equities after deducting withholding tax, and the other calculates net returns after deducting both capital gains tax and withholding tax. The index series was developed in conjunction with the $7.65 billion corporate super fund Qantas Super and enables funds to measure after-tax investment performance against an after-tax industry benchmark that is representative of the tax in superannuation member returns.

FTSE Russell Australia head, Mo El-Assaad, said the indices provide a more accurate reflection of global equity returns for superannuation members.
