Zurich promotes chief claims officer

To support its integration of the OnePath and Zurich life insurance brands, Zurich has made several executive changes.

Joanne Faglioni, former head of claims for OnePath, will now be the chief claims officer, a new role in the organisation. She will be responsible for both retail and group claims for Zurich and OnePath Life.

The changes formally bring the Zurich and OnePath underwriting and claims teams together following the completion of Zurich's acquisition in 2019.

Faglioni is joined by Tina Beilby as Zurich's first head of operations and Peter Tilocca as chief underwriting officer.

"Our operations leadership team is one of the strongest and most respected in the industry," said Zurich and OnePath COO Gavin Pearce. "This stricture has been designed to support excellent customer and adviser service outcomes both now and into the future."

Faglioni joined OnePath as a senior manager for group claims in 2010. She previously spent time in a claims role with NAB.
