Yarra Capital Management MD joins AUI board

The Australian United Investment Company (AUI) has announced the appointment of Dion Hershan to its board, effective 17 April 2018.

Hershan, who has 20 years' experience in the finance industry, is currently the managing director and head of Australian equities at Yarra Capital Management. Prior to this, he was head of Australian equities at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), a role he was appointed to in 2007. He joined Yarra Capital Management in December 2016 following the management buyout of GSAM.

Before joining GSAM, Hershan was a fund manager at Citadel Investment Group, based in New York, where he managed a long/short portfolio. He has also held roles with Fidelity Investments and Boston Consulting Group.

Commenting on his appointment at AUI, chair, Charles Goode, welcomed Hershan and said that he will bring "significant investment experience" to the board.
