Position: Head of Institutional and Retail - Sustainable Funds

Perennial Partners has announced that George Whiting will lead the business development aspects of its new ESG investment business, Perennial Better Future.

Perennial Better Future will be led by portfolio manager Damian Cottier, Whiting, and equities analyst Emilie O'Neill. Cottier says the new business is focused on finding companies that derive revenue from positive outcomes, not just mitigating damage. "We are focused on finding innovative smaller Australian companies. Many of the companies in the portfolio have entered into global markets and have significant growth potential - they are often disruptors in their chosen markets, improving health outcomes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs."

Whiting has been with Perennial for 18 months, joining in 2019 as an investment specialist with eInvest. He started his carer as an equities trader with Taylor Collison and spent several years with Impax Asset Management in London.

In his new role with Perennial Better Future, Whiting will be responsible for institutional and retail distribution channels.
