Whiteoak hires director of investor relations

Private equity firm Whiteoak has appointed Andrew Grimes as its first director of investor relations.

Grimes was most recently the client portfolio manager at Alphinity. He was previously the director and head of Winton Capital Australia. Grimes spent more than five years as an investment specialist manager at Platinum Asset Management.

It was in his role as a consultant at McKinsey where Grimes first met Whiteoak founders, Richard Whiteoak and Greg Garvin.

Said Garvin, "we are delighted that Andrew has chosen to join the firm at an exciting stage of our development as Whiteoak raises its first fund."

Founded in 2016, Whiteoak has recently made investments into the growth equity segment.
