Whelan named acting CEO at WealthO2

WealthO2 chief distribution officer Andrew Whelan has been named acting chief executive officer following the departure of co-founder and CEO Shannon Bernasconi.

Whelan joined the organisation earlier this year from Midwinter where he spent just over a year as head of distribution. He's also held head of adviser services roles with Milliman, CCUBE, and Morningstar. Whelan started his financial services career as a BDM with Coin Software.

The company released a statement thanking Bernasconi for her contributions to the organisation however did not say why she left.
