Westpac names new Chief Information Officer

Dave Curran has been named chief information officer (CIO) at Westpac Banking Group, replacing Clive Whincup who left the bank for retailer Woolworths in February 2014. Curran has been working at Westpac since February as a consultant on its core banking technology modernisation program and in the new role will report to COO John Arthur.

Note: 2 Feb 2015 - Westpac has announced that Dave Curran will now report to CEO Brian Hartzer under a reshuffle of executive reporting lines.
